Agenda review policy

Last updated 6 August 2026

Agenda reviews come from real, completed appointments. This page explains how we verify them, who can leave one, and how moderation and removals work.

How reviews are verified

A review can only be left by a client who had an appointment marked complete by the salon.

After the appointment completes, we email that client a single-use link that expires after 30 days. One review per appointment — the link cannot be shared or reused.

Every published review is labelled as a verified Agenda review because of this check. We never import reviews from other platforms and never write reviews ourselves.

Who cannot leave a review

Anyone without a completed appointment, salon staff reviewing their own salon, and anyone attempting to submit through a link that was not issued to them.

Moderation

Reviews publish automatically once submitted. Before publishing, we run automated checks for profanity, contact details, links, duplicate text and unusual submission patterns.

Anything the checks flag is held for a manual check instead of publishing. Salons can also choose to hold every review for a manual check before it appears.

Negative reviews are allowed. A salon cannot delete, hide or edit a review — it can only publish one public reply, and report a review to Agenda.

When a review is removed

Agenda removes a review only where it: is not from a verified completed appointment; contains abuse, discriminatory or threatening language; contains personal or contact information; is spam, an advert or a conflict of interest; is about something other than the service received; or breaches the law.

Disagreeing with a review is not a reason for removal. Every removal and reinstatement is recorded with a reason.

Requesting a removal or correction

Clients can ask us to remove or correct their own review at any time by emailing support@withagenda.com from the address the review request was sent to.

Salons report a review from the Reviews section in Agenda. Reporting does not hide the review while we look at it.

No incentives

Salons cannot pay for reviews, offer discounts or gifts in exchange for a review, or ask only happy clients for one. Requests are sent automatically to every eligible client.
